What, 4 parasites!? Have not heard of that? Well, now you have.
And it mutates to the extent that some areas experience a surge of infection in their fight against this coronavirus, while others even have their lockdowns extended. Of course, we are not talking about ‘science’ per se or the RNA itself but these…
Yea. The leaders themselves. Then, are we just looking for someone to blame here? Nope. That’s just applicable in the political arena. Fingering-pointing.
It’s just disappointing that there are some prominent leaders that are looking for scapegoats at this critical stage in human history. Diverting attention. Hiding their heads under the sand. Altogether, avoiding responsibility. With the blame game on, partisanship mutated.
Do you think problems could be solved with division and discord?
Certainly not. Fact is, things only got worse. You can see it in the miscommunication and incoordination between leaders and health officials. Such resulted into delayed response and reporting that contributed to ridiculous or nonsensical policies.
See. Directives and programs that are misaligned not only confuses the public, but sets up the locale for a second wave of the coronavirus.
Still, it’s not only the politicians and authorities here. But the people, too. The general public. Everyone has a role to play in this game of ‘beat the virus’ — rich or poor, powerful or not, scientist or whatever.
Then again, with the differing views on the virus, discipline suffered — as face masks and social distancing were not part of one’s priorities. But why were there such differences in the first place?
When the WHO said the virus only affects the elderly and the immuno-compromised, the younger people just did not want to be controlled anymore. They flouted the rules. They gathered in throngs. They could not care less. Now, see how this virus continuously mutated?
Most everyone just took COVID-19 lightly. From heads of state to spring breakers. Everybody had their own agenda. Their own stuff to attend to. The fun they wanted to have. The greed they wanted to feed their souls. Nobody really cared but the elderly and most vulnerable who feared their lives.
This pomposity then gave birth to what, 11 million infections and growing — over 500,000 deaths with more than 6 million recoveries. Okay, while the recovery numbers may look promising, but are we living with that peace of mind? Could we go wherever we want at any time — or do what we used to do before this pandemic shook our lives?
