Covid-19 Pandemic and Pre, and Post-natal clinics attendances
Covid-19 is coming with other challenges in the health sectors. In Kenya expectant mothers seems to avoid their scheduled clinic dates for prenatal care. This has brought a lot of concerns among the healthcare workers and the government.
Similar trends have also seen among young mothers who are expected to be attending post-natal clinics. This has raised much concerns as these mothers fail to present the young babies for the immunizations that are to be given to the babies during post-natal care clinics.
It is therefore believed that expectant mothers and young mothers are evading clinics for fear of contracting Covid-19 sickness.
